Highly requested improvements for Cornerstone and Eclipse
It's time for new feature releases! Eclipse and Cornerstone are each getting multiple updates. Let's dive in!
(Remember, to access these features, you need to make sure that your theme is up to date. We have Support docs that will help you update Eclipse, Stiletto, and Cornerstone.)
Eclipse
First up for Eclipse, we’ve updated width options across a variety of sections, giving you more opportunities for customization:
Slideshow, Collection banner, Newsletter, and Image & Video hero sections have a new “full width (background)” option.
Header and Rich Text sections now have width options.
Image with text and Video with text sections have new content layout settings.
With these new changes, you may need to review these three sections before publishing:
Newsletter: review the new section width options. Consider using ‘page width’ or ‘full width (padded)’ to replace ‘narrow’ or ‘wide’.
Image with text and Video with text: review the new content position setting to match your original alignment settings.
We're excited to announce a new Shoppable Feed section for Eclipse! This new section helps you boost sales by showcasing complementary products. In this section you can assemble a gallery of images that feature “looks” or product sets. Customers can quickly view and buy in a “shop the look” drawer.

Cornerstone
There are three improvements to Cornerstone: one update to product pages, one behind-the-scenes change that will help with SEO and accessibility, and one update to the Collection list section.
First, Cornerstone now has product media grouping, which enables you to assign specific sets of images (and videos) to each product variant. This way, when a customer selects different variants, your product pages will show only the relevant media for that variant and hide the rest. This creates a smoother shopping experience for your customer!

Next, we know SEO and accessibility are top of mind for shop owners, so we’re excited to share that it’s now possible to change the heading tag in sections. You can use page title (H1) or subtopic titles (H2 - H6) in your section content. While changing tags will not alter a heading’s appearance, it will improve the page’s code structure along with SEO and accessibility.
Lastly, based on your requests, we've added a 4-column layout to the Collection list section for mobile. This makes it easier to feature more collections per row, giving shoppers an overview of your catalog at a glance.

That wraps up this feature release! Complete changelogs are available for each theme:
