Quick setup

For your stockists page, you first need to create a page and assign the stockists template in your Shopify admin. Then, in the theme editor, you can customize the page template using the preset theme sections.

Create page and assign template

In your Shopify admin, create a page and assign the stockists template.

Shopify | Pages are a Shopify feature: see Shopify's guide for creating pages ↗.

STEPS

In your Shopify admin:

  1. Click Online store > Pages.

  2. Click Add page.

  3. Add a Title (e.g. "Stockists").

The title will be used for the page URL (e.g. www.store.com/stockists).

You don't need to add anything to the Content field. You will add the page content by editing the Stockists template in the theme editor.

  4. [Optional] Under Visibility, you can click Hidden if you don't want to publish the page to your live site yet.

  5. Click the Theme template menu and select stockists to assign the template.

Note: Templates can't be assigned on unpublished themes. Your changes to templates will be saved and can be assigned when you buy and publish the theme.

  6. Click Save.

Edit stockists page template

The default Stockists template includes preset sections for listing stores that stock your products, including online stores, retail stores, and your own store.

We recommend first editing the preset sections and hiding any sections you won't use. Then, you can add other theme sections to further customize your page.

STEPS

In your theme editor (Customize):

  1. Use the Templates selector to open Pages > stockists.

  2. Under "PREVIEW", click Change and select the page you want to use for the template.

A warning symbol (!) next to the page name means that the template is not assigned. Click the page name to go to your Shopify admin, and assign a template.

  3. Edit the preset theme sections to add custom page content and styles.

Use the Image hero to display an image and page title.

Use the first Multi-column section to list online stores that stock your products and link to their site.

Use the second Multi-column section to list retail stores that stock your products with their location and a link to a map.

Use the third Multi-column section to list your main store locations, with your hours and a link to a map.

Click the Hide icon or Remove section button to hide or delete preset sections.

  4. Under Template, click (+) Add section to further customize your page with theme sections.

Click and hold the drag and drop handles ⋮⋮ to change the order of sections.

  5. Click Save.

Remember to assign the template and set your page to Visible in your admin.

  6. (Recommended.) Add a link to your stockists page in the Header and Footer menus.
