Featured collection row

The Featured collection row section displays a single-row gallery of products from a selected collection on your home page, collection pages, or product pages.

The featured collection section can be used on the following page templates:

You can add a featured collection row section to the home page that lets customers click through a gallery of products.

To set up a Featured collection row:

  1. From your Customize theme editor, choose Home page from the pages drop-down menu at the top of the screen.

  2. Scroll to the bottom of the home page sections and choose Add section

  3. Choose Featured collection row from the list of sections.

    This opens the Featured collection row settings.

  4. Use the Select Collection button to choose from your store's list of collections.

  5. Change the number of Columns to display at one time between 2 and 4.

  6. Change the Heading text.

    The heading displays as the first column, followed by the collection's products.

  7. (Optional.) Add Subheading text.

  8. Use the Link text field to add a button that links to the collection.

  9. Return to the list of Home page sections to find your new Featured collection row section.

    Use the drag handles to rearrange the order of your Home page sections:

  10. Use the Save button in the top-right corner when you are finished editing.

You can add a Featured collection row section to your Collection pages and Product pages templates.

To enable a Featured collection row on these pages:

  1. From your Customize theme editor, choose Collections or Products from the pages drop-down menu at the top of the screen.

  2. Click on the arrow beside Collection features or Product features.

  3. Use the Add block button to select Featured collection row.

    This opens the Featured collection row section settings.

  4. Use the Select Collection button to select one from your store's list of collections.

  5. Change the number of Columns to display between 2 and 4.

  6. Change the Heading text.

    The heading displays as the first column, followed by the collection's products.

  7. (Optional.) Add Subheading text.

  8. Use the Button label field to add a button that links to the collection.

  9. Return to the list of Product or Collection features. Use the drag handles to rearrange the order of the blocks:

  10. Use the Save button in the top-right corner when you are finished editing.

Configuration Settings

Collection

Select a collection from your store's existing collections.

For more information about collections see Shopify's Collections guide.

Columns

Choose between 2, 3, or 4 columns to display at one time. The heading will always be the first column.

Heading

Add heading text.

We recommend a title of just a few words long.

Subheading

Add subheading text.

Use the formatting buttons to add bold, italic, and linked text.

Max width of text

Control the width of the subheading text. The width will need to be adjusted when you adjust the number of columns.

Text Alignment

Choose to display the text of the heading column as left or centre aligned.

Image aspect ratio

Choose to display your product images as Square, Landscape, or Portrait.

The default Natural setting will display the original orientation of your images.

Use alternate selection color

Set the background color to the Alternate Section Color as chosen in your Color Settings.
