Context’s iconic modular design captures the essence of high modernism. Ideal for medium to large catalogues, Context executes brilliantly on a few of our favourite Shopify features.
Context was released in the fall of 2019 as a minimal and modular storytelling theme. Context takes its cues from “high modernism,” a movement within architecture and design to bring a scientific and technological understanding of the world to bear on everyday objects. Context’s geometric layouts create a sense of visual consistency even in situations where merchants have heavily customized their stores. It offers a variety of sections to help shed light on the context of your products: whether that’s how they’re made, where they’re made, or how they hold up after use. Since 2019, the theme has garnered 20 reviews, 95% of which are positive.

This list is non-exhaustive. We’re better at building features than we are at marketing them. If something isn’t on this list, but you need it to make a decision on whether the theme is right for you, send us a message.
